Has anyone ever read THE BOOK OF ENOCH? It is quoted in the book of Jude, so the jews of Jesus day must have been familiar with it. Chapter 22 verse 3 says the following "Then Raphael, one of the holy angels who were with me, answered and said, These are the delightful places where the spirits, the souls of the dead, will be collected;for them were they formed; and here will be collected all the souls of the sons of men. verse 4... 'These places,in which they dwell, shall they occupy until the day of judgement, and until their appointed period." .......... These verses pretty much disprove the Witness doctrine on the soul.

In shock.
by lulu inlast night(tuesday) an announcement was made in our congregation that my husband and i had disassociated ourselves.
we did no such thing(for personal reasons) nor was any document whatsoever given to the local elders or anyone else.
nevertheless, that is what happened, apparently no letter of resignation is required.

If you believe the bible, and the various prophetic interpretations--the the war on terror is prescripted-- like a VCR tape running-- and nothing we do or say will change the outcome. The game is being played by superpowerful supernatural beings and human beings are the chess pieces. So the war on terrorism is driven by forces beyond the control of man.

If You were God?

i think i would have forgiven adam and eve and the last six thousand years would have been a cakewalk.. i wouldn't have had to send down my son to be nailed to a tree and die a horrible death.
i also would have been much more clear in what i expext of my creation, maybe write a book that could be understood by anyone..maybe i would have sent some of my angels down to the babylonians when they were throwing babies in the fire as sacrifices to say don't do that!!

How many times have you been Baptized??
by refiners fire ini was baptized twice in the witness organization.
twice within three years.
as an explanation, my old man made me get baptized the first time under threat of physical violence.

As a baby was baptised a catholic.... Later at age 13 so I wouldn't "DIE AT ARMAGEDDON" when 1975 came. HA HA HA HA HA HA...

When I was in my mid to late teens I lived in the Commitee Room-- Smoking, Drinking,and running around with worldly girls was my preoccupation at the time. My mother used to get phone calls from other Witness Mothers that I was a bad influence on their sons. I guess now that I look back-- is that I just couldn't take the religion seriously. Especially after studying that fat red book at the tuesday night meeting. I think it was called Babylon The Great has Fallen God's Kingdom rules. I thought --what a bunch of crock!! And now , 30yrs after I was DFed , and all the changes to the so called "TRUTH"--- I don't regret a thing.
